J. Aaron Cook

Aaron received his bachelor’s of science degree, magna cum laude, from Brigham Young University in 1995.   During college, Aaron successfully opened and operated an agency for financing professional services.

After college, Aaron earned his juris doctorate degree from Yale Law School.  While in law school, he assisted community groups and indigent clients through his work in the Family Law Clinic and Environmental Law Clinic.  Upon graduation, he earned his attorney’s license with the Missouri and Kansas Bar Associations.

Aaron moved to Kansas City and began practicing at Blackwell Sanders Peper Martin, among the nation’s largest law firms, serving international corporate clients.  After consistent work on large corporate projects, however, Aaron developed a desire to instead work one-on-one with clients in more personalized legal service.  That brought him together with Larry Chipman to form Chipman Cook, P.C., offering expert assistance for each individual client.

Aaron married his college love, Anja, in 1995.  They together enjoy outdoor activities and work with the youth of their church.
